Class 6, Assignment 6

I signed into the Exquisite Forest site, and I see different trees.

Here, I am reading the concepts section of the Exquisite Forest.

Here, I'm looking at one of the leaves from the Evolution tree, created by someone else. It is a cool animation that shows the evolution from a radish to a bear, any many other things.

Here, I'm looking at one of the leaves from the TV tree, created by someone else. It shows a terrific animation describing a person coming out of a TV screen, and a tree forming from the body, and an apple from that tree being carried into the TV screen again by a bird.

Here, I'm looking at one of the leaves from the Blink tree, created by someone else. This animation shows the transformation of eyes with various shapes. It seems to require a lot of creativity to complete this.

Class 6, Assignment 4

Here, I clicked into the Layout link and created a gadget.

Here I started adding the URL addresses of my classmate's blogs.

This is a final list of the links to the blogs of my classmates, placed on the right sidebar of my blog page.

Class 6, Part 3

1. Converting Vector Graphics: Original Vector Graphic Silver Dollar

Here is the original Vector Graphic image of a Silver Dollar that I created in Part 1.

Here, I resized the circle and changed its color into gold, using the filling tool.

Here, I moved the letters on top more towards the middle.

Here, I removed the image of the woman by deleting the lines that formed the shape.

Here, I used the line tool to insert/draw an image of Susan B.Anthony in the middle.

Here, I changed the color of the lines from blue to black and dark gold.

Here, I changed the last digit of the year on the bottom from 2 to 9.

Here, I inserted six stars using the basic shapes tool.

This is the final image of my gold dollar saved into a PNG format with changed size, date, image, and configuration.

2. Converting Vector Graphics: Original GIMP Silver Dollar
Here is the original GIMP image of a silver dollar that I created in Part 2.

Here, I filled in the background color of the coin from silver to gold.

Here, I drew a new image of Susan B. Anthony using the pencil tool. Also, I changed the date from 1992 to 1999.

Here, I drew in six gold stars using the paintbrush tool.

This is the final GIMP image of a gold coin saved in a PNG format. I changed the size, color, image, date, and inserted starts.

This is a screenshot using GIMP to add a second layer of circle filled with a darker color.
This is a screenshot of using GIMP to write "Liberty" on the circle using the paintbrush tool.
This is a screenshot of using GIMP to draw a face of a woman and the date using the paintbrush tool.
This is a screenshot of using GIMP to write "In god we trust" also using the paintbrush tool.
This is the final product.

Class 6, Step 1

I drew a circle using the toolbox in Microsoft Word.
I drew two circles to make the coin look a little more real.
I wrote "Liberty" by inserting lines from the toolbox.
I drew a face of the woman using various line tools, including curvy lines and straight lines.
I filled in the line with color and shadows so that it looked more realistic.

I also wrote the year that it was made on the bottom, using by drawing lines using the toolbox.

This is the final product of the silver dollar drawn by using Microsoft Word.
